BioWare and LucasArts teamed up several years ago to bring one of the best games ever made, Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, to gamers. However, the PC version of the RPG hasn’t been made available in stores for some time. That just changed today. At the end of a presentation for BioWare’s upcoming MMO Star Wars: The Old Republic during PAX 2009, BioWare gave out codes to the attendees to download a free version of the game via Steam.

Naturally we checked ot see if the game was available for download and purchase via Steam and sure enough there it was. The game is also available viaDirect2Drive. Both outlets are selling the game for $9.99 which is a true bargain to check out one of the best games of all time. And if you are at PAX and happen to miss today’s presentation, it will be repeated tomorrow at 11 am. If we were betting people we suspect that BioWare still has some Steam codes for KOTOR to give away.

EUCantina.net is reporting that a free demo ofThe Clone Wars: Republic Heroes is now available for download from the Microsoft Xbox LIVE Marketplace.

The game demo is 463MB in size.

No word yet on when/if a similar demo will be made available for Sony PS3 owners, but we’ll be sure to update you accordingly if we hear otherwise.
